More than JUST 86 tips February 21, 2009 Adam Adam 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
This book has so many handouts, worksheets that you are allowed to reproduce. There is a wealth of information in this book. Can be used for individual as well as groups therapy, or used alone for self-help worksheets and lessons. Very easy to follow and very practical. This is a great resource for working on life skills, self esteem, dealing with negative thinking and learning to think more positively.
Great book for therapists and clients alike! February 21, 2009 Lit4Less 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This book has loads of handouts, quotes, worksheets to help with anger, depression, irrational thinking, anxiety, and generally promotes wellness and healthy thinking skills. Makes a lot of sense! You don't have to be a therapist to appreciate the lessons.
Great resource January 26, 2009 dejastella (New York, NY) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I love the format and the content of this book. It is a well organized and easily implemented resource. The activities are engaging and manageable and are a valuable addition to the clinician's toolbox. I particularly like that the format places a great deal of responsibility and ownership on to the client. That is a most effective clinical strategy.
Engaging Read January 26, 2009 Ann Sloane 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have heard Ms. Belmont speak, and she is as entertaining and engaging as a writer as she is a speaker. Her book format is logical and her creative ideas and suggestions are very helpful for any therapist/counselor.
